Look It's Me...With Junie B. !!

What fun we had at the Magik Theater this weekend as we attended the production of Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business!! Granny Gerry was generous enough to take the girls and myself and I think we can honestly say that a good time WAS had by ALL! The actress who played Junie B. was FABULOUS...she had the part nailed...as did the other cast members. It was a small cast - a couple of actors/actresses played multiple roles - and the set was minimal - but PERFECTLY served its purpose. The GIANT school supplies grabbed our attention the minute we walked in the room. The show had song and dance numbers that were choreographed so that the adults were laughing at one thing while the kids were laughing at another (much like a Disney Pixar movie).

If you haven't ever read the story...or had your daughter read it to you :-), the story revolves around a show-and-tell in Junie's class. One of Junie's friends, Lucille, comes dressed as a princess for show-and-tell. Because we were sitting on the FRONT row of the theater, we were able to see Lucille's shoes VERY clearly. It was sooo funny! Summer was wearing the EXACT same shoes as Lucille. I mean - EXACT. We each bought them at Target last year. ha! Of course, I had to get a photo of that!!!

The next production at the theater is of the book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." I am curious how they will make a production out of that adorable 'picture' book. After the GREAT experience we had this show, I think we will try to make it a priority to go back and see for ourselves!

Christmas08 Slide show

I am a facebook addict....

Yes, it's true. I am a facebook addict. :-) At least in the way that all of my 'spare' computer time has been spent finding friends and chatting on facebook these past few weeks. I warn you...it can be VERY addictive. But it has been GREAT fun finding friends that I hadn't seen since high school and reconnecting with several friends from Alabama. I still love blogging...and why wouldn't I?? Blogging is just like talking...except for you never have a chance to respond to me....and we all know that I LOOOVE talking. :-) However, with facebook...the conversations are two sided...you don't have to be creative or clever...you can say as little or as much as you want...and no one can look at your info. that you don't want to.

So that is where I have been. Life has continued on at a rapid clip. The Christmas Break was very welcome...but so was the return to school. :-) I was part referee/part mom those two weeks.

We now own a Wii and it also consumed our life for the first couple of weeks we owned it...we are doing better now. ha! It is the first gaming system we have ever owned...and it is a BLAST. We even had Granny, PopPop, Dustin, & Lisa playing it on New Years Eve. That little machine is BIG fun for ALL!!

I'll try to get back on line and post some more pictures in a day or two....if I can stay away from facebook. hee! hee!
